Welcome to the Town of Turtleford

My name is Doug Ask. I am currently serving my first term as mayor, however, have served several terms as a councilor. I am joined by a Town Council made up of 6 community members. Robert Knowlton, Cliff Currie, Lawrence Weinrauch have all served on council in past terms. New to council is Seth Bloom, Dave MacDonald, and Kari Bauldic. We will work together over the next few years hoping to provide growth and improvement in Turtleford. 

Turtleford is located on Highway 26 at the junction of Highway 3 and 303. The Turtle River runs through town with Brightsand Lake and Turtle Lake just a short drive away. 

Being located in the R.M. of Mervin we have developed a strong working relationship with our counterparts to allow many projects and organizations in the town to continue to operate. We are extremely proud of our local Fire and Rescue team that serves the town as well as the surrounding area. 

Our Main Street still offers small town charm with a grocery store, pharmacy, clothing store, hair salon, tattoo shop, liquor store, restaurants, bar, library, bank and post office. 

We are lucky to have a school that offers pre-kindergarten to grade 12. As well the community has a hospital which offers a clinic, lab, and emergency services. There are currently 4 doctors and 2 nurse practitioners working at the clinic. 

Come and spend time in our area and enjoy the many recreation activities, the lakes and the rivers in the area. We're happy to call Turtleford home.
